Procedures ISPS
E.B.S. already developed a company security plan, however, ISPS requirements go even further. Therefore E.B.S. aims to continue to invest in fencing, cameras, security services and providing training for its personnel. In addition, our customary security measures and procedures have been tightened. Everyone entering the E.B.S. terminals must be informed on what the ISPS requirements entail. This information sheet explains how E.B.S. deals with the requirements.Three levels
The ISPS code details measures at three escalating security levels. Monitoring and security control are tightened according to increased threats. You will be informed about the current security levels at the entry points of our terminals.
Security level 1
No specific threat
-Every visitor of an E.B.S. terminal must show proof of identity.
-Visitors must be able to state the name of their host/hostess to reception and company security must be notified of their visit by host/hostess
-Random, additional checks may be carried out when visitors ride with other persons
-Documents are checked at delivery of shipping supplies and goods
-Crew of sea-going vessels are also checked according to the crew list
-100% identity checks of lorry drivers are carried out
-Terminal personnel are alert to security threats at all times
Security level 2
Heightened vigilance
Similar to level 1 plus:
-Reception must be notified of visitors of ships in advance
-Visitors of ships must be accompanied to the ships by security
-Supervised delivery of shipping supplies
-50 Percent extra checks of visitors who ride with other persons
-Gate security at the Europoort Terminal as well as the St. Laurenshaven Terminal
